TPT alternatives for sellers in 2026
With TPT's new seller terms starting January 1, 2027, many sellers are adding a second place to sell, or moving. Here are the options sellers mention most, and how to get your existing products onto each without retyping them.
If you join TPT's Exclusive Seller membership, you can't sell your TPT-eligible digital teaching resources anywhere else (clip art, fonts, Boom Cards, courses, physical products and Kindle books are exempt). The options below are for Basic sellers, sellers leaving TPT, or exempt products.
Your own shop
| Option | Good to know | Moving your products |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Hosted shop with a monthly plan; digital files via Shopify's free Digital Downloads app | Product CSV import. Guide |
| WooCommerce (WordPress) | Free plugin; you pay for hosting. Also works as a "Buy on TPT" catalog for Exclusive sellers | Product CSV import. Guide |
Your own shop means no marketplace commission and your own customer list, but you bring your own traffic. Pinterest is a common traffic source for teacher sellers. Bulk-pin your products.
Marketplaces and creator platforms
| Platform | Good to know | Moving your products |
|---|---|---|
| Etsy | Huge general marketplace; per-listing fee; titles up to 140 characters and 13 tags | No import: copy sheet or crosslist assistant |
| Payhip | Creator storefront for digital products | No import: copy sheet or crosslist assistant |
| Gumroad | Creator storefront; also handles license keys and memberships | No import: copy sheet or crosslist assistant |
| TES | Large teaching-resource marketplace (UK-founded); resources listed by student age range and subject | No import: copy sheet (ages filled from your grades) or crosslist assistant |
| Eduki | Teaching-materials marketplace that started in Germany | No import: copy sheet or crosslist assistant |
| Classful | US teacher marketplace; its homepage lists 5% per resource plus a payment processing fee | No import: copy sheet or crosslist assistant |
Fees and rules change, so check each platform's current pricing page before you list.
Moving without retyping
- Back up your TPT store with Storeroom: every title, description, price, grade, subject, standard, cover and preview. How.
- Export for your new home: Shopify or WooCommerce CSVs import in one go; for marketplaces, use the copy sheet or the crosslist assistant (Pro, beta), which fills each listing form for you to review and publish.
- Add your files from your own computer, and bring traffic with Pinterest.
