Move your TPT products to WooCommerce

WooCommerce (the free shop plugin for WordPress) has a built-in product importer. Storeroom builds a CSV for it from your TPT store, using the column names from WooCommerce's own sample file. You can import your products in one of two ways:

OptionBest forWhat buyers see
Sell downloads on my siteBasic sellers moving sales to their own siteAn Add to cart button; they pay you and download the file from your site
Catalog: "Buy on TPT" buttonsExclusive sellers who want their own websiteA "Buy on TPT" button that opens the product on TPT. TPT's Exclusive rules allow own websites whose Buy buttons link to TPT.

1. Back up your store

Follow How to back up your TPT store.

2. Download the WooCommerce CSV

  1. Open Storeroom › Export › WooCommerce and open Options.
  2. Pick Product type: "Sell downloads on my site" or "Catalog: Buy on TPT buttons".
  3. Pick After import: Draft (review first) or Published, and how to build categories (subject, grade or resource type; subjects keep TPT's hierarchy, like Math > Fractions).
  4. Press Download WooCommerce CSV.

3. Import into WooCommerce

  1. In WordPress, go to Products › All Products and click Import at the top.
  2. Choose the Storeroom CSV and click Continue. The columns match automatically; click Run the importer.
  3. WooCommerce downloads your cover images from their web addresses during the import, so large stores can take a while.

4. Add your files (downloads option only)

The CSV leaves the download link empty on purpose, because your files aren't on your site yet. For each product: Edit › Product data › Downloadable files › Add File, upload your PDF or ZIP, and update. Download limits are left blank, which WooCommerce treats as unlimited downloads.

Storeroom keeps your TPT product ID and link on every WooCommerce product as hidden custom fields (_tpt_product_id, _tpt_url), handy for matching files later.
