Something isn’t working
- Make sure you’re logged in to Reddit in the same browser (open reddit.com in a tab).
- Open Subwise’s Settings → Connection check and click Run the check. It sends 4 requests to Reddit and tells you what works from your browser.
- If it still fails, click Copy report and open an issue on GitHub with the report pasted in. The report contains no personal data apart from your Reddit username (remove it if you prefer).
Common questions
“Subwise paused: Reddit wants to check this browser”
Reddit sometimes shows a quick check page to browsers it doesn’t recognise. Open reddit.com in a tab and browse for a moment; Subwise notices and carries on by itself. It never answers those checks on its own.
“Reddit asked Subwise to slow down”
Reddit sent a rate-limit response. Subwise pauses everything, for longer each time it happens. If you follow many feeds, lower the request limit or raise the check interval in Settings → General.
Some feeds say “paused · free limit”
The free plan follows 10 subreddits, users or searches. The rest stay in your list until you upgrade.
My Pro key doesn’t work
Copy the key from your Gumroad receipt exactly. One key works on up to 5 browsers; to move it, remove it from an old browser (Settings → Pro) first. For refunds or billing, reply to your Gumroad receipt email.
How do I get my feeds into another tool?
Settings → Import & export → Export feeds as OPML gives you the list. Pro users can export posts and alert matches as CSV or JSON.
