Privacy policy
SendAs Bridge is a browser extension that sends emails you write in Gmail through an email provider you choose. It is built to work entirely inside your browser. It has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics and no advertising.
What SendAs Bridge reads
- The Gmail compose window you send from: recipients, subject, message text, attachments and pictures — only when you click Send with one of your own addresses selected.
- The headers of the message you reply to or forward (for example Message-ID, References, To and Delivered-To), downloaded from Gmail with your existing Gmail session, so the reply stays in the same conversation and the right From address is picked.
- Your Gmail address, shown in the Gmail tab title, so a copy of each message can be Bcc'd to you.
- Public DNS records of your domain, when you run the domain check.
SendAs Bridge does not read your inbox, your other emails or your contacts.
What SendAs Bridge stores
In your browser's extension storage only: your addresses and settings, the email provider connection you set up (including its API key, which you can encrypt with a passphrase), your license key if you buy Pro, and a small counter of sent messages used for the rating prompt. Nothing is synced to any server by SendAs Bridge.
What SendAs Bridge sends, and to whom
- Your email provider (for example Resend, Brevo, SMTP2GO, Amazon SES, Mailgun, Postmark, Cloudflare, Mailjet or SendGrid): the message you chose to send, with its recipients and attachments, plus your API key to authenticate. This happens only when you click Send or send a test. The provider's own privacy policy applies to that message.
- Gmail (mail.google.com): requests made with your existing session to download attachments already in your draft and the headers of the message you reply to.
- Cloudflare DNS or Google Public DNS (cloudflare-dns.com, dns.google): your domain name, when you run the domain check.
- Gumroad (api.gumroad.com): your license key, when you activate Pro and about every 3 days afterwards, to confirm the purchase is valid.
SendAs Bridge does not sell, share or transfer your data to anyone else, and does not use it for any purpose other than sending the emails you ask it to send. The use of data received from Gmail complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Permissions
- mail.google.com: to add the From row and Send button to Gmail and to read the message you are sending.
- storage: to save your settings in your browser.
- Your email provider's API address (requested only when you connect that provider): to send your messages.
Deleting your data
Remove an address or provider in SendAs Bridge's settings, or uninstall the extension to delete everything it stored. Revoke the API key in your provider's dashboard to cut off access completely.
